Some believe that the elimination of structural racism only benefits communities of color or other marginalized groups. Kristin Z. Black, PhD, MPH will discuss how establishing more anti-racism principles (e.g., transparency and accountability) in systems benefits everyone that enters that system. Dr. Black will highlight her involvement in a study led by a community-medical-academic partnership. This partnership implemented system-level changes in cancer care, which resulted in the elimination of racial disparities in treatment completion.
